The Internet of Things is the idea that all different types of devices can be conected to the internet and configured to send and receive data. Houses can be set to turn lights on or off, turn the heat up or down and security systems can be monitored over the internet. Cars can send data to a maechnic before being brought in for repairs in order to speed up the diagnostic process. Your refrigertor can contact you to let you know when you are out of milk. While all of this adds convenience it also increases risk. This video explains and the benefits and risk associated with the Internet of Things.
